AMSL Aero has been awarded funding from the Australian Government, to further develop the autonomous fire fighting applications for its VTOL aircraft.

Sydney, Australia – 19 February 2024 – Australian zero emission aircraft designer and manufacturer AMSL Aero today welcomes the Australian Government’s move to back the development of its zero-emission aircraft Vertiia to fight bushfires autonomously in an effective, efficient way that keeps firefighters safer and enables nighttime firefighting.

An innovative zero-emissions aircraft, a cross between a helicopter and a plane could soon fly central west passengers across the state. Airlink could replace some of their existing fleet with the new technology by as soon as 2027.
